How to reset realme earbuds (every model)
4 September 2026 · PhoneTech
A replacement realme bud will not join your existing one until both sides have been reset — and realme uses a different button sequence for almost every family. Using the wrong one is the single most common reason a working part looks dead on arrival.
Find your model below. If your case is still around, the model name is printed on it; the name your phone shows in its Bluetooth list is usually the same.
Reset sequence by model
| Model | How to reset |
|---|---|
| Buds Air, Air Neo, Air2, Air2 Neo, Air Pro, Air3, Air 3s, Air5, Air5 Pro, Air6, Air6 Pro, Air7, Air7 Pro | Leave both buds in the case and open the lid. Hold the case button for about 10 seconds, until the light starts blinking. |
| Buds Air 3 Neo, Buds T01, Buds N1, Buds T200 / T200 Lite / T200x, Buds T300 / T310, TechLife Buds T100 / T110 | Open the lid and take BOTH buds out of the case. Hold the touch area on both at once for more than 10 seconds, until your phone sees the earbuds by name. |
| Buds, Buds Q, Buds Q2, Buds Q2 Neo, Buds Q2s | Put both buds in the case and open the lid. Hold the touch area on both at the same time for 10 seconds, until your phone finds them. |
| Neckbands (general) | Pull the two magnetic earbuds apart, then hold the multi-function button for about 10 seconds until the light flashes. |
| Buds Wireless 2 | Pull the earbuds apart, then hold volume up and volume down together for 5 seconds. |
| Buds Wireless 3 | Pull the earbuds apart, tap the ANC button five times, then hold the ANC button for 10 seconds. |
| Buds Wireless 3 Neo | Pull the earbuds apart, tap the multi-function button five times, then hold it for 10 seconds. |
| Buds Wireless 5 ANC | Pull the earbuds apart, tap the multi-function button three times, then hold it for 10 seconds. |
| Buds Wireless 5 Lite | Pull the earbuds apart, tap the multi-function button three times, then hold it for 3 seconds. |
| TechLife Studio H1 | Hold the multi-function button for 2 seconds to switch it on, then hold it for 10 seconds to reset. |
Wired realme earphones, such as the Buds Classic, have nothing to reset.
After the reset
Resetting only clears the old pairing. The two buds still have to find each other before either will talk to your phone: close the lid, wait about ten seconds, open it again, and only then connect from your phone’s Bluetooth settings. If just one side plays, that step did not finish — our pairing walkthrough covers what to do next.
Where these steps come from
These are realme’s own published procedures, restated here in plain language and grouped so you can find your model quickly. realme’s official support page is the authority if the two ever disagree — it was last updated on 26 September 2025 when we transcribed it. We are not affiliated with realme.

Common questions
- How do I reset realme Buds Air?
- Leave both buds in the charging case and open the lid, then hold the case button for about 10 seconds until the light starts blinking. The same sequence covers Buds Air, Air Neo, Air2, Air2 Neo, Air Pro, Air3, Air 3s, Air5, Air5 Pro, Air6, Air6 Pro, Air7 and Air7 Pro.
- How do I reset realme Buds T300 or T310?
- Open the lid and take both buds OUT of the case, then hold the touch area on both at the same time for more than 10 seconds, until your phone sees the earbuds by name. Buds T01, N1, T200, T200 Lite, T200x, Air 3 Neo and the TechLife T100 and T110 use the same method.
- How do I reset a realme neckband?
- Pull the two magnetic earbuds apart, then hold the multi-function button for about 10 seconds until the light flashes. Buds Wireless 2, 3, 3 Neo, 5 ANC and 5 Lite each use a different sequence, listed above.
- My replacement realme bud still will not pair. What now?
- Resetting only clears the old pairing; the two buds then have to find each other before either connects to your phone. Close the lid, wait about ten seconds, open it again, and only then connect from Bluetooth settings. If one side still stays silent, that step did not complete — repeat it and watch for the reset light before closing the lid.
- Do wired realme earphones need resetting?
- No. Wired models such as the realme Buds Classic have no pairing to clear, so there is nothing to reset.
