A replacement realme bud will not join your existing one until both sides have been reset — and realme uses a different button sequence for almost every family. Using the wrong one is the single most common reason a working part looks dead on arrival.

After the reset

Resetting only clears the old pairing. The two buds still have to find each other before either will talk to your phone: close the lid, wait about ten seconds, open it again, and only then connect from your phone’s Bluetooth settings.
